National Recovery Month
September is National Recovery Month, an annual campaign driven by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and FCA is proud to recognize the campaign with its wide range of programs, services and events for individuals and families on Long Island in recovery. This year’s theme is Join the Voices for Recovery: Invest in Health, Home, Purpose, and Community.

To further celebrate recovery month, four outstanding individuals representing THRIVE and the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD), which is an affiliate of FCA, are will walk across Long Island to spread the word that recovery is possible, treatment is effective, and prevention can work to end the epidemic on Long Island.
