2017 Golf & Tennis Tournament
On Monday July 10th, 2017, FCA held its annual Golf & Tennis Tournament at the Creek Club in Locust Valley. Clear skies paired with the Gold Coast’s most exclusive golf club made for a great day to swing the club or racquet. The 2017 Golf and Tennis Tournament raises awareness and funds to further FCA’s mission to protect and strengthen Long Island’s most vulnerable children, seniors, families and their communities. This year, FCA honored Joseph A. Mannion, President of the Sanitation Officers Association and raised $150,000!
As they arrived, guests were greeted with brunch and a robust spread of auction items. From exclusive vacations to sports memorabilia, jewelry to art pieces and more, the selection provided guests of all different interests an opportunity to make a charitable contribution while entering the drawing for one-of-a-kind items.
The 12:30 shotgun start sent golfers off to the course where they would not only enjoy beautiful weather and good company, but a chance to win awards and be recognized as the day’s top golfers in several different categories. The Creek Club was adorned with tee-signs from supporting business, partners, and individuals who take pride in spreading the word of FCA’s work for Long Island.
