Football Raffle Win (2) Tickets to the Big Game, Support a Long Island Charity

- Provide an innovative workshop at our recovery center to attract younger people in recovery;
- Provide interview clothes for a resident in one of our runaway/homeless youth residences who is seeking employment.

Family & Children’s Association is proud to announce our Football Raffle of a first place prize of (2) tickets to the Big Game in Minneapolis, MN on February 4, 2018 and a second place prize of $2,500 starting November 29th, 2018. The drawing will be aired on Facebook Live on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Need not be present to win. Must be 18 years or older to buy a ticket. Proceeds to benefit Family & Children’s Association.
The Football Raffle of (2) tickets to the Big Game in Minneapolis, MN on February 4, 2018 is being conducted by Family & Children’s Association, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization under the laws of the State of New York.
Ticket purchaser must be 18 years of age or older to participate and must have a valid Social Security number.
No more than 100 raffle tickets will be sold. (1) One person may buy multiple tickets until limit of 100 raffle tickets is reached.
Raffle tickets are $300.00 each.
Raffle tickets may be purchased by:
- Cash, in person at 100 East Old Country Rd. Mineola, NY 11501;
- Checks (made payable to Family & Children’s Association, mailed to 100 East Old Country Rd. Mineola, NY 11501;
- Online at http://weblink.donorperfect.com/FootballFCA.
Should the purchaser’s check not be honored by the bank, the ticket will become void and withdrawn from the drawing. By IRS declaration, ticket purchases for valuable prizes are not eligible for charitable tax deductions.
Odds of winning first place prize are 1:100, odds of winning second place prize are 1:100.
All ticket order forms must be received with full payment no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard time on January 24th, 2018 or before a total of 100 tickets have been sold, whichever comes first, to be entered into the drawing. Family & Children’s Association will not extend ticket sales beyond the current drawing date of January 24th, 2018 at 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Prize: Two prizes will be given away. First Prize: (2) Tickets to the Big Game in Minneapolis, MN on February 4, 2018, Second prize: $2,500.
Drawing will be held at Family & Children’s Association, 100 East Old Country Rd., Mineola, NY 11501 on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Drawing will be aired live on Family & Children’s Association’s public Facebook page. Auditors from the accounting firm, Baker Tily will be present for the live drawing.
Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by via email. 1st place prize of (2) tickets to the Big Game in Minneapolis, MN on February 4, 2018 will be sent to first place prize winner via overnight mail within 24 hours of auction end. Second place prize of $2,500 will be sent to second place prize winner via US mail.
The 1st place prize winner is solely responsible for all local, state and federal taxes and all expenses incurred in claiming the first place prize of (2) tickets to the Big Game in Minneapolis, MN on February 4, 2018. The 2nd place prize winner is solely responsible for all local, state and federal taxes and all expenses incurred in claiming the second place prize of $2,500. The Internal Revenue Service requires that any prizes valued at $600 or more be issued a Form W-2G, and requires that 25% of total winnings be withheld for federal taxes on prizes of $5,000 or more. The First and Second Prize winner understands, acknowledges, and agrees that the First and Second Prize winner is receiving a prize and will hereby release and discharge Family & Children’s Association, and any additional sponsors, their employees, agents, officers, directors and legal representatives and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from or caused by the award of such prize, including, but not limited to the payment of any and all taxes that are due.
Prize must be claimed within 30 days of drawing. Any unclaimed prize after that date will constitute forfeiture and be transferred to Family & Children’s Association as a donation.
Family & Children’s Association, its Board of Directors, and its agents assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or entries without payment which will be deemed invalid and disqualified.
The decisions and rules of Family & Children’s Association are final on all matters concerning the raffle.
