Here’s how we can help:

• On the Phone – (516) 706-5766: Telephone counseling from trained, experienced professionals who can answer your questions about living with (or living as) a teenager.
• Individual Youth Counseling: Empowering the client to evaluate their feelings, issues and options involved in their present crisis.
• Family Mediation: Helping identify the underlying issues leading up to the present crisis and suggesting alternatives or referrals to avoid future crisis.

The Family Mediation Project:

• Free, confidential, short-term counseling for youth ages 10-20 and their families.
• Advocacy for your personal goals and objectives, arrived at in private, confidential counseling sessions.
• Help in considering realistic options for independent living.
• Mediation services in our offices.
• Conflict resolution and problem solving techniques.
• Emergency shelter at a safe location if necessary.
• Referrals for further help if needed.

Family Mediation Project operates under NYS RHY (New York State Runaway and Homeless Youth) laws. Therefore, services are voluntary on the youth’s part.
