Located at the Hempstead Chemical Dependency Treatment Center, the Vocational Educational Program serves adults over eighteen who lack specific vocational or educational skills. Clients receive the services they need to improve their ability to attain and maintain self-sufficiency through education and employment.

In addition, a behavioral health
resource center established in 2006 offers both professionals and Vocational
Educational students access to up-to-date information on mental health and
substance abuse issues.

The process of finding employment
can be daunting, but for disadvantaged men the search often seems impossible.
The Vocational Educational Program accepts donations of men’s business clothing
from individuals and businesses.
By recognizing the challenge that
these men face, you can take steps to make securing employment a little easier.
Donations help ease the transition between the job training program and the
job-seeking process. Large size clothing is especially needed, but all
contributions are welcome. Items sought are:
