The After School Program takes place each day after school until 6:00 p.m. Children are picked up by our Staff at their schools in Hempstead and Uniondale each afternoon and brought to the Hagedorn Family Resource Center.

The program offers elementary school-age children reinforcement of their academic experiences by working with them on their homework. The program works to establish good academic habits and help children exhibit increased competence in school work, increased mastery in academic subjects and improved socialization skills.

Varied extra curricular activities are planned daily to keep the children engaged until their parents arrive in the evening to pick them up.

The Hagedorn After School Program offers a relaxed, balanced environment with time to explore and learn with friends, finish homework, let off steam and enjoy being a kid.
