We believe that drug addiction is a disease that can be arrested through a combination of counseling, education treatment and participation in a 12-step program. The Hempstead Chemical Dependency Treatment Center provides services to individuals and families throughout Nassau County who are experiencing difficulties caused by chemical dependency. The Center also provides preventive education on substance abuse.
Counselors are New York State Certified social workers and substance abuse specialists. All counselors are trained in individual and group counseling. Our staff is specially trained to be caring and sensitive to the needs of clients.
We offer an intensive outpatient day treatment service designed to meet the needs of individuals with problems. A special attempt is made to create a warm and supportive setting. Services include:

Fees are charged according to income. No one will be denied services if they cannot afford to pay for treatment.
Funding is provided by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services through the Nassau County Department of Drug and Alcohol Addiction.
