Parents and Students Success
PASS is a free service available for elementary school children in the Hempstead School District. It is offered in the schools during the school day and at the Hagedorn Family Resouce Center after school.
Volunteers offer tutoring and homework programs in the schools where we see children on a one-to-one basis. A volunteer sees a child for an hour and, besides helping with homework, offers friendship and a listening ear. Most volunteers go in twice a week.
