Employee Benefits Administrator – Human Resources – Mineola
Manage and administer the agency's employee benefits, such as medical, dental, life and other voluntary insurance plans offered, as well as the agency pension plan, flexible spending accounts and tax deferred annuity. This includes but is not limited to conducting monthly enrollment meetings, enrolling and terminating employees from benefit plans, processing changes for billing and payroll purposes, managing the online benefits portal and running reports from the portal as necessary, and performing monthly reconciliations between the information on the portal, the provider invoices and the agency's payroll system to identify and correct any discrepancies. Responsible for the completion of employee separation paperwork/processes including providing employees with pertinent benefits information. Manage and administer unemployment claims, ensuring that information provided is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Assist with management of employee leaves covered by short-term disability, worker's compensation and the FMLA to ensure that the agency meets all legal requirements, including preparing required paperwork and following up with employees or insurance providers as necessary. Maintain required OSHA log.Participate in the annual renewal process for our health and dental insurance and other employee benefits. Research and recommend new employee benefit programs and participate in the development of an employee wellness program.Ensure that data for critical areas of responsibility are maintained in the online benefits portal and HRIS system, or other data bases, so that reliable reports can be generated and analyzed.Assist the Human Resources Generalist with tasks related to recruitment and onboarding of new employees when necessary and as time allows.

ICC Coverage: Provide ICC services from a strength-based and family-driven approach.Provide Intensive In-home and Crisis Response services.Coordinate and monitor all other direct services including sub-contracts.Maintain regular contact with clinicians to aid clients in applying their treatment plan.Monitor and adhere to regulations regarding Flexible Funding, Waiver Budgets, and Medicaid Expenditures.Waitlist: Contact all families at least once a month and make home visits when needed. Engage families in Family Support Services prior to enrollment. Initiate intakes and start-up services prior to ICCs start or return date and when necessary, facilitate the introduction to the family. Meet with families according to their scheduling needs at least 60% of worked time.Increase awareness of and enhance family strengths. Advocate for services and systems that are fair, responsive, and family driven. Assist families to rediscover and reconnect to natural community supports. Promote effective parent-professional system partnerships. Address barriers that may prevent full service participation. Empower families to make informed decisions and advocate on behalf of and in collaboration to promote shared decision making. Prepare and accompany families to meetings to ensure their voice is included in the planning and decision-making at all levels. Conduct groups to offer opportunities for families to connect and reduce isolation. Link to and provide workshops to enhance parenting skills. Support and encourage family participation in community, regional, state, and national activities to develop leadership skills and expand circles of support. Work cohesively with the Individualized Care Coordinator.Collaborate with other family support programs and the OMH Regional Advisor and participate in workgroups that promote family support policy and planning.Complete all documentation by required deadlines and in compliance to agency and funding regulations.
